2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to: (a) provide and improve the service; (b) personalize your AI companion experience, including memory and recommendations; (c) process payments and manage subscriptions; (d) send important account notifications. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Conversation Privacy
Your conversations are not used for targeted advertising. Automated systems process messages and generated media to provide the service, maintain companion memory, detect abuse, enforce safety rules, and troubleshoot failures. Authorized personnel may review limited content when needed to investigate a report, protect users, comply with law, or resolve a support request. Data is encrypted in transit.
4. AI-Generated Content
Photos, voice, and messages from companions are AI-generated. Companions are fictional characters and never depict real, identifiable people. We enforce strict safeguards to prevent generation of content depicting minors or non-consenting real individuals.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by our infrastructure partners. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain account data while the account is active and according to documented operational retention periods. Account deletion removes or schedules deletion of profile, conversation, and owned media data, subject to narrow exceptions for security, fraud, financial records, legal obligations, and preserved safety evidence. The product explains these exceptions during export and deletion.
7. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small set of third-party providers for payments, authentication, hosting, and database services. Each maintains its own privacy policy governing its handling of data.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

10. Age Requirement & Children's Privacy
Nexani is strictly for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover such data, it will be deleted immediately.
